Not all care delivery occurs in a hospital. Oceans’ intensive outpatient programs encourage long-term, successful management of physical, emotional and cognitive health while allowing patients to live at home and continue normal activities. We support patients by providing group and individual therapies, medication management and mental health education. Families and referral sources also receive regular updates on each patient’s progress and treatment, allowing them to provide additional support to aid long-term recovery and healing.
Outpatient treatment is tailored to each individual’s needs. As patients improve, frequency of counseling decreases as they transition to traditional outpatient treatment.

“This year I began the arduous journey back to recovering my mental health and recovering my life. I have had the privilege of having the Oceans’ [Intensive] Outpatient Program family and Dr. Cuervo supporting me…I am convinced that I could not have made it through this leg of the journey without them.
When I found myself losing patience with myself and the process, the administration, staff and therapists [at Oceans] all treated me with tremendous professionalism and compassion.”
